Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know before your first consultation.
How do I book a session?
Click "Book an Appointment" on the website. It will open WhatsApp, where our team will share available slots and confirm your booking.
How long is a session?
There's no fixed duration. Each visit includes time with our psychologist followed by a consultation with Dr. Mridulla, and we take the time you need.
Are online sessions available?
Yes. Online consultations are available by video, for clients anywhere.
How much does a consultation cost?
₹2,000 per visit. This includes the psychologist assessment and the psychiatrist consultation. Follow-ups cost the same.
What happens during the first session?
Our psychologist will ask about your concerns, daily life, background and health history. Dr. Mridulla will then discuss this with you, explain what is happening, and create a treatment plan together with you. There's no pressure to share everything at once.
How often should I attend sessions?
This depends on your needs. In the early stages, follow-ups are usually every 2–4 weeks. As you improve, visits become less frequent.
Will I be given medication?
Only if it is genuinely needed. Many concerns are managed with therapy and lifestyle changes alone. When medication is advised, it is explained clearly, and you are part of the decision.
Is what I share kept confidential?
Yes. Everything you share is kept strictly confidential and used only for your care. The only exception is a situation where there is a serious risk to your safety or someone else's, where we may need to involve a family member or emergency help.
Do you see couples and families?
Yes. We offer couples counselling and family counselling, in person and online.
Can a family member join the session?
Yes, with your consent. This is especially helpful for elderly clients.
What if I need urgent help?
Our service is not for emergencies. If you are in crisis, please call Tele-MANAS at 14416 or visit the nearest hospital emergency department.
What should I bring to my first visit?
Please bring previous prescriptions, investigation reports and a list of current medications. Family members are welcome to accompany you.
